Grooved-out rock band seeking bass player in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania For Sale

We are the Secret Chiefs ? a groove-relative band, primarily steeped in rock-n-roll, yet we infuse elements of funk, reggae, even a blues riff or two ? and we have a psychedelic and jazzy flavor that kicks major behind! We?re three forty-something?s?keyboard player, guitar, and drums?who have been playing music all of our lives. We used to play as a band (Secret Chiefs) with another guitar player and a bass player back in the xxxx?s, when we had a strong musical connection which we are continuing; the music is amazing and we feel it needs to live strong and to be shared with people. Think of this: powerful forces stir us; we intend to add our part to the world?s primordial musical soup.
We have a pretty special sound.
Our creative blend is hard to describe. As players we each listen to divergent forms of music, in terms of our own influences, so to describe us is hard to do, truly. We seek a bass player who is going to bring an interactive dynamic to the sound, as opposed to someone who just follows along on the root notes. We need a driver, not a passenger. We?re looking for someone who has their own style and is versatile and has distinct chops?and another singer would be a plus. We aren?t really looking to take over the world, as two of us are married, kids, one starting a small business, and the other a career in child welfare. The music is all-original, yet we are open to doing the right covers. Even though we aren?t planning to hit the road and tour, we all agree that if it fell into place we wouldn?t resist the impulse to take it big, as again, this band is on a mission from the Gods! We are very eager to start gigging around Southwestern Pennsylvania.
