Job Description
PURPOSE/MISSION:
This position is responsible for the management of all Accounts Payable functions within the Accounting Department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform the necessary administrative functions required for accounts payable the company
Review and approve all invoices for payment
Prepare invoice deductions and discounts
Respond to all vendor inquiries regarding their invoices
Enter all invoices into payment system and produce checks
Produce accounts payable reports and maintain files and vendor list
Assist in performing accounts receivable duties and special projects as necessary
Maintain Excel spreadsheets for the above functions
Learn Payroll function for primary back up as needed
Prepare payroll taxes as required at time of payroll run
Maintain Real Estate tax invoice management
Perform other duties as required for the successful operation of the Accounting Department

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must have minimum of a High School diploma or an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
3 years of general accounting experience
Basic knowledge and understanding of other office equipment: fax machine, copier, adding machine, telephone, computer, printer
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Work, Excel)
Work hours: 8 am to 5 pm
