The International Sales Manager (ISM) is responsible for the development and day to day management of Car-Freshner Corporation’s overseas distribution network in the assigned region. This involves managing one or more distributors and / or retailers in each country. The International Sales Manager is expected to have a thorough knowledge of the retail channels in these markets and pro-actively manage the retail placement of Car-Freshner products to ensure complete coverage in all channels. They will maintain close communication with distributors and jointly develop business and key account sales plan. The International Sales Manager may need to search for new distribution partners from time to time in order to enhance sales coverage or turn around poor performing markets, and have a complete understanding of each market’s competitors, key distributors, retail structure, regulatory and customs requirements, and the cultural and socio-economic factors that may affect the sales of our products. Key Responsibilities: Ensure distribution partners meet Car-Freshner Corporation’s target profile and lead them to achieve agreed upon sales volumes and set expectations in terms of business planning, communication, marketing and promotion. Quantify market potential and market share goals. Set annual sales objectives with overseas distributors identifying key accounts for new placement and pro-actively manage sku assortment with existing accounts, including off-shelf placement. Educate distributor personnel on Car-Freshner Corporation’s brands and portfolio of products, provide training on how to sell and promote, creating specific sales tactics for each channel by utilizing our assortment of product and displays. Prepare and analyze sales trends, identify market and customer requirements and communicate sales information from distributors to management on a regular basis. Manage the day to day ordering process and provide direction to customer service staff to fulfill orders with a focus on quality, accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. Liaison with the production and marketing departments to provide sales forecasts for specific customers and assist in the submission and approval process of localized marketing and promotional materials. Perform customer and market visits on a frequent basis both in person and through videoconferencing sales calls. Perform business reviews with distributors, understand retail sell through and POS metrics with key retailers, analyze landed cost and retail pricing, and compile data of competitive activity and pricing.
