>Outside Plant Field Surveyor-PAJob Code: Outside Plant Field SurveyorDivision: UC SYNERGETICLocation: PITTSBURGH, PA USTravel Involved: 20-30%Job Type: Job Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)Education: High School or equivalent Skills: Engineering ->Field Service, ElectricalCategory: Electrical EngineerCompensation: - Position Summary:UC Synergetic, Inc. is currently seeking Outside Plant FieldSurveyors in the Pittsburg, PA area.Duties and Responsibilities:&#xxxx3; Possess/develop understanding of OutsidePlant communications cabling/records.&#xxxx3; Possess working knowledge of OSP utility poleattached infrastructure and minimum separation requirements, downguy, and anchoring requirements.&#xxxx3; Preferred knowledge of Pole make ready cablerearrangement for adding new attachments (UCS will train if needed).&#xxxx3; Work closely with all departments to ensurethat the field notes convey the correct information with appropriatefield symbols, measurements, and other pertinent data.&#xxxx3; Perform field surveys with company providedequipment (both mechanical and electronic).&#xxxx3; Document existing outside plantinfrastructure aerial & underground on land based maps.&#xxxx3; Accurately record span measurements betweenpoles and height of current attachments at each individual pole.&#xxxx3; Identify existing address information (ifapplicable)&#xxxx3; Identify Primary electric, Transformerlocations, grounding, and guying.&#xxxx3; Prepare permit sketches.&#xxxx3; Perform Self-check Quality Control of ownwork for completeness, accuracy, meeting standards, key features (hublocations, buried plant detail, pole numbers, guy & anchorinformation, etc.), and overall quality appearance.Essential JobFunctions:&#xxxx3; Must be able to read, interpret and noteexisting drawings and maps to minimize the need for a second fieldsurvey.&#xxxx3; Demonstrate basic English languageproficiency in both oral and written communication&#xxxx3; Demonstrate basic mathematical skills.&#xxxx3; Operate computer using standard e-mailsoftware for daily data transmittals and entry through keyboard,viewing monitor, and mouse.&#xxxx3; Identify/locate assigned locations andposition necessary equipment to complete tasks.&#xxxx3; Must have a valid driver's license andreliable transportation for work sites&#xxxx3; Work with the project managers to understandthe scope of work, schedule, project instructions andresponsibilities.&#xxxx3; Must be versatile to work well independentlywith the ability to organize and prioritize all work to meet specificdeadlines with minimal supervision.
